Intensives
Consider what it would be like to dramatically accelerate your trauma healing.
With intensives, it’s possible.
What are therapy intensives?
Intensives are a focused and accelerated therapy approach designed to help clients go deeper and get results faster. Rather than spreading sessions over weeks or months it allows for in-depth work in a concentrated timeframe, ranging from a few hours to a few days.
During the intensive, we will use a combination of modalities and techniques to address what you would like to work on including EMDR, IFS, Attachment-Focused EMDR (informed), breathwork, and movement. We will work together to find what works best for you and your nervous system.
This is not weekly talk therapy.
It is grounded, embodied, relational work designed with your safety and pacing at the center.
Each intensive meets you as a whole person: your story, your nervous system, and the parts of you that have never had the space to be fully acknowledged.
There is no rushing. The environment is spacious and steady, offering enough time for your system to settle, for safety to build, and for the unmet places inside you to be approached gently and with respect.
You may be a great fit for intensives if…
You’ve done therapy for years, but things still feel stuck.
You don’t have the time or energy to attend weekly sessions and you’re ready to feel better now.
You like the idea of having focused, specialized time just for you.
You’ve done therapy before but didn’t feel like the sessions were long enough to go deep enough.
You can’t shake the trauma that occurred years ago and you’re ready to put it to bed.
You have a specific trigger, event, or topic you want support with.
What are the benefits?
Allows you to end sessions at a much lower level of distress with potentially fewer side effects
Eliminates lost time spent on check-ins, treatment interruptions, current crises… LIFE
Fits into your busy schedule more seamlessly. Rather than having to set aside time for weekly appts for months on end, this allows you access to treatment sooner to expedite healing
With sessions dedicated solely to you and your treatment goals, there is ample time to process trauma and significantly decrease distress
Accomplish months of traditional therapy in just 3-17 hours
Research shows that EMDR intensives significantly improve PTSD symptoms in a relatively short timeframe
Therapy Intensive Package Menu
A 90-minute session to determine goals for the intensive and prepare you for the experience. We will discuss what you want to address, identify the past painful memories, images, emotions, and beliefs that continue to impact you, review and build your coping skills toolbox, and identify how to best support you during the process.
The pre-intensive interview will occur about 2 weeks before the intensive.
Pre-Intensive Interview
The workbook includes information about yourself, your family history, attachment, and supports. The workbook will also provide assessments and activities you can use to prepare you for the intensive. The workbook may be used as a reference to track your progress before, during, and after the session(s).
The workbook will be provided to you before the pre-intensive interview.

Intensives are held between 3-9 hours over the course of a singular day or series of days depending on your goals and needs.

Each intensive includes:
A 90-minute pre-session to prepare, begin resourcing, and clarify your goals
The intensive time itself, either in one stretch or spaced out over a few days

Intensives are self-pay only and not billed to insurance.
If you are in network with Premera, First Choice Health Network, or Regence, I am unable to provide intensives due to concerns with being in breach of contract. There are currently no CPT billing codes that allow for session lengths longer than 53 minutes and for this reason, I am unable to provide intensives to those whose insurances I’m contracted with.
For those of you who are in-network with any other insurance, I CAN provide intensives, however insurances typically do not cover the full length of intensives and therefore are not billed to insurance.
You are also more than welcome to use your HSA/FSA accounts for payment and full payment is expected for this service.

Yes! In fact, it is required to have a primary therapist to participate in an intensive because of the nature and depth of the work. This ensures you have someone to provide support afterwards, help integrate the material, and assist you in continuing your healing journey after the intensive. I would ask that you sign a Release of Information so that your current therapist and I can collaborate and ensure continuity of care in an effort to best serve you and your needs.
